WorkAir, the first airbag to protect workers at height, has received the Adi Design Index Innovation Award and now, thanks to this award, competes for the National Innovation Award (“Award of Awards”) established by the President of the Italian Republic and the next Compasso d’Oro to be held in 2024.
The Adi Design Index is the annual publication of Adi, Association for Industrial Design that collects the best Italian design put into production, selected by the permanent Adi Design Observatory. Among the more than 1,000 applications received this year at the Observatory, the commission has selected the 270 finalists divided into various thematic areas – Design for living, Design for mobility, Design for work, Research for the company, etc. – a testament to the vitality and innovative thrust of Italian design.
Each year within the competition 3 awards are awarded to projects, products and services that have distinguished themselves for innovation in processes, materials, technologies, change of individual and social behavior, criticism and applied research: the Innovation Award mentioned above.

The award obtained by WorkAir at the Adi Design Index takes on an additional weight, as the competition is considered a path of promotion of design and enhancement of innovation at the institutional level. Thanks to this award, in fact, WorkAir will be reported by Adi to the National Award for Innovation, the “Award of Awards” established by the Presidency of the Italian Republic and conferred on producers and designers during an official ceremony in the presence of the highest authorities of the State and the Government. Moreover, the inclusion in the Adi Design Index projects WorkAir in the shortlist also the prestigious Compasso d’Oro that will be awarded in 2024.
